Front End Developer - HTML, CSS, Javascript

Welcome to the wonderful show of Theo Martin. I hope you enjoy what you are about to see. This is my portfolio I have been developing as a side project. Enjoy the nice space background as you scroll down.

For those who do not know this technique of moving images in websites is called parallax scrolling. Wikipedia defines parallax scrolling as a special scrolling technique in computer graphics, wherein background images move by the camera slower than foreground images, creating an illusion of depth in a 2D video game and adding to the immersion. I define it as awesome!!!

This website is made with HTML, CSS3, and to really work the magic of the parallax effect I have added a bit of jQuery. The responsive web design is done with the help of Bootstrap. I made this website just to experiment with Bootstrap and I am loving it. My navbar and stage curtain is looking flawless on tablets and mobile devices. I plan to experiment with SASS or LESS later on.

I want to build a website someday that will help kids and adults with cancer. This website will probably run on HTML, CSS, Javascript, Angular or jQuery, Ruby on Rails and SQL and of course some design stuff through Photoshop which is my favorite Adobe Product to use. I also love manipulating photos and would like to take up photography as a next hobby.

My Work

Alzerina Jewelry

This project was my first project I did for an internship and a project I really enjoyed working on. Alzerina Jewelry is a e-commerce website featuring famous jewelry designer Alzerina Gomes pieces. I was responsible for website maintenance and designing a new website through Big Commerce adding and editing along with retouching images for e-mails and the website through Photoshop. I also coded the Facebook store with HTML.

Safe Ride Syosset

This was my first website I have designed, developed and published. Safe Ride Syosset was founded by Josh Lafazan and it was designed as a website to provide a safe ride to teens that drank a lot rather than have a teen get behind the wheel of a car under the influence. This website was done with HTML, CSS3, and PHP for the contact form.

Josh Lafazan for School Board

This was the campaign page for Josh Lafazan. Josh Lafazan is currently the youngest member of the Syosset school board in New York. The page is now his personal page with updates.

Rebel's Candy

This is a sample page I have done for a client. This was meant to be a urban news website as well as fashion. The logo was designed by someone else. This is the prototype for this website that was never launched

Survivor Nation

This is a side project of mine tinkering with Wordpress and hopefully will soon be a real social networking website for people with cancer someday. Survivor Nation will be just like any other social network complete with chat and profiles but a more serious approach towards cancer. It will be modeled like like Facebook and Linkedin and accept donations for childhood cancer. The website is done with the help of XAMPP which is an offline server, SQL to hold the tables and also the banner was created in Photoshop.

Photoshopped Images

These are images I have photoshopped ranging from Alzerina's pieces of jewelry to practice images that I have airbrushed to remove blemishes to make them look like the images in magazines.
